Kalra Hospital has been a pioneer in the field of cardiac care in West End, New Delhi, and in other parts of the NCR, and India. In our endeavour to spread the awareness among the masses about the concept of preventive cardiology, we celebrate World Heart Day each year (World Heart Day 2007 is on September 30, 2007).

Our celebrations are structured according to the international directives of the World Heart Federation headquarters, Geneva. Active participation, and/or affiliation are expected from other government-run and non-governmental institutions, and organisations. The programme is aimed at generating public awareness, and interest in the concept of preventive cardiology. Our objective is based on the age old adage of ‘Stitch in time saves nine’; better prevent than cure!
