Referral Policy for Post Discharge Services / Care
It is the policy of Kalra to use a rotation system for licensed healthcare
providers, who supply post discharge services/care to patients, not provided
by the hospital. Service providers shall be screened and referral
information maintained relating to type, location, level and quality of
care. The hospital provides a list of all available agencies to each
patient.
Management of Patient / Visitor Complaint
Kalra reviews and investigates every complaint to improve the delivery of
quality healthcare services and protect patient health and safety. The
mechanism identifies and addresses patient/visitor complaints in a timely
and efficient manner.
Plan for Provision of Care
Patient services at Kalra occur through an organized and systematic process
designed to ensure the delivery of safe, effective care and treatment.
Providing comprehensive patient care requires specialized knowledge,
judgment and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical,
behavioral, psychosocial and medical sciences. As such, patient services are
planned, coordinated, provided, delegated and supervised by professional
health care providers, who recognize the unique physical, emotional and
spiritual needs of each patient.
Variance Reporting / Sentinel Events
The variance report provides a confidential mechanism of identification,
tracking, trending, and follow-up of all incidences that pose an actual or
potential safety risk to patients, families, visitors or the staff.
Variances include events ranging from falls to near misses or
sentinel events with serious adverse outcomes, occurring in the hospital
setting.
Management Of Equipment Service & Maintenance and Repair
It is the policy of Kalra that clinical equipment be properly maintained so
that it functions as intended. All the equipment is inspected on regular
basis by expert technicians.
Organizational Ethics
Kalra carries out its operations in an ethically responsible manner. In
conformance with the mission statement, all dealings with the patients and
communities are served through comprehensive care, education and dedicated
research.
